Marble and other more soft stones have to be specially cared for, even coloured cleaning agents can leave permanent colour stains. Once coloured liquids are absorbed into the stone, the stains can never be removed. Therefore marble does not belong in the kitchen.

Fresh air in the kitchen creates joy

Odours belong in the kitchen just like appetite for eating – after eating one must allow in fresh air. Odours will first be noticed with dampness, as the odour molecules will be spread by the moist room-air. For clean air, first of all the dampness has to be absorbed. Strong aerating, with today’s warmth-insulating building style, will require windows to be opened wide. The air outside should be of a lower temperature than the air inside. Only then can the odours properly escape.
