Richard and Elizabeth Kitchen opened their first care home in 1988. Having worked as a care assistant, Mrs Kitchen felt that she could run a more caring and friendly home. Beginning with a small 3 bed premises, they set out to apply the principle of making each care home into a place where they would be happy to live themselves.

They now run four homes in the Southampton area, one of which provides nursing care. Each home is visited by Mr and Mrs Kitchen on a daily basis to ensure that everyone is happy and any problems are resolved quickly. All staff are fully qualified and hand-picked to provide the very highest standard of care. Each home has been extensively refurbished and has comfortable and spacious accommodation. Food is prepared in our homes’ modern kitchens by qualified chefs. The menus offer a variety of wholesome dishes and all dietary requirements both medical and religious, are catered for.
